These easy air fryer cheeseburgers require no cleanup and are made in the air fryer in 10 minutes. Freeze for later or make ahead of time for a quick burger night with the family.
Season ground beef with salt, pepper in a medium bowl. Add Worcestershire sauce and breadcrumbs. Stir to combine (I like to do it by hand). Refrigerate for 10 minutes for flavors to blend.
Divide the beef mixture into four equal parts directly in the bowl. Form 4 compact balls. Flatten the balls into 3/4-inch patties about 4-1/2 inches across.
Wrap in foil and place in a single layer in the air fryer.
Cook for 10 minutes. Immediately top with cheese, if desired.
Sauce instructions
Make the sauce by combining all the ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
Notes
Freezing instructions - cooked beef patties will last in the fridge for 2-3 months. Raw patties will last for longer, about 6 months. Keep each patty separated with parchment paper or wrapped individually in plastic wrap and in an airtight container.Make-ahead instructions - you can mix the beef with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and breadcrumbs 2 days prior, keep in the fridge, sealed.Tip: flatten the center of the patties even more as it helps them to cook evenly and prevents the middle from rising during the cooking process. If you have a burger press/mold available then it will be even easier but the edges will be different, more ‘’flat’’. If you’re looking for round edges, form the patties using your hands.
