FAQ
Are air fryer Thai wings sticky?
Yes! And to get these Thai wings even stickier, air fry them a bit longer.
Can I use frozen wings for this recipe?
Air frying frozen chicken wings is not something I suggest.
Frozen wings contain a lot of liquid. Excess moisture will collect in the basket when they defrost, causing steam, making wings soft.
Can you freeze wings?
Yes, chicken wings may be frozen for 3 months. After cooking in the air fryer, place wings in a freezer bag and freeze, making sure there’s enough space so wings do not get stuck together.
Heat the wings in the oven or air fryer until heated all the way through and throw in the sweet and spicy wing sauce.
The thai chili sauce may also be frozen, lying flat, in zippered bags.
Tips for re-heating chicken wings
Microwave sweet chili chicken wings for 45-60 seconds until hot and steaming. Alternately, warm in the oven for 10 minutes at 350°F.
